I just heard of the passing of Ann Patterson - my condolences go to her family. Ann lived just north of Governor's Harbour. She was a wonderful painter whose works were often auctioned off for fund raisers. Her family, friends and the community will surely miss her.

Around the island... Went to Rock Sound early one morning and caught the Eleuthera Express unloading. Followed a food store truck as it picked up and unloaded. In Palmetto Point there's a lovely (and large) sign congratulating Dr. Seabreeze on his nomination for a Cacique award. Saw the Bohengy come into Briland from my perch at the Rock House. Did some deep drop fishing, with my dad and some friends, out of Davis Harbor for silk snapper. Went to McGuiver's in Wemyss Bight for some of the best conch on the island. Stopped by a pig farm near Deep Creek and got to tour the castle in Whale Point - this place is amazing. Embedded in the outside wall are pink calico scallop shells - this is what gives the castle its color. I lost count, but there are about 7 or 8 bedroom suites. This would be an awesome place to hold a wedding or any kind of party!
